NICHOLAS AND ALISON GALLAGHER-HUGHES
Alison and Nicholas are a married couple and learnt to dance together around 12 years ago. They have been competing since 2010 and are based in the Midlands. Nicholas wears a custom shoe based on the Freed Modern Flex shoe whilst Alison wears the Clara shoe.
Career HighlightsCareer highlights include obtaining 18 trophies over one weekend at the UK Closed and Bournemouth Masters and wins at Champions of Tomorrow, Yorkshire Open and South of England Championships.

Alison had an early introduction to Ballroom dancing – her parents had been amateur competitors and she used to accompany them to Blackpool to watch the British championships. She returned to Ballroom as an adult, taking up social classes with her husband, Nick. She is a qualified journalist and now works as a Marketing and PR professional. She is a regular contributor to the Dancing Times. Nicholas is a Training and Development Manager and works at a University.
