Yasmin began dancing at the age of 5. In her Juvenile and Junior career she represented England in the Junior Blackpool Dance Festival Team match. In her Youth, her best results included; Semi-Finalist at the International Championships and 2nd Place at the Closed British Championships. After this, Yasmin danced in Italy before coming back to England and beginning her dance career with Stephen.
Stephen started dancing at the age of 5 and began competing in medal competitions. He then moved on to open competitions as a Juvenile and Junior. Working hard Stephen was selected to represent a winning British team at the Open British invitational team match as a Juvenile and Junior. Also as a Junior he won the British National Junior Ballroom Championship in 2000.
Stephen then moved into the amateur circuit of competing and competed domestically and internationally in countries including Portugal, USA, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Poland, Russia, Germany and Ireland. Whilst competing in the UK he managed to win the prestigious North of England Amateur Ballroom championship; and became a regular finalist at the British National and UK closed championships with current partner Yasmin. At International events they became rising star finalists at the British Open and UK open amateur ballroom championships. They also became World, British and International quarter finalists and European championship semi-finalists.
In October 2016 Stephen and Yasmin turned professional and in their first competition became International Rising Star Professional Ballroom finalists. They have also become UK Open Rising Star Finalists and British Open Rising Star Professional Ballroom semi-finalists. At a National level they reached the final of the British National and UK closed Professional Ballroom Championships.
Together they are Amateur Rising Star Finalists at the UK Open Championships and British Open Championships and were also regular Finalists at all Major National Championships. They are almost a year into their Professional careers and continue to focus on what's ahead of them.
Yasmin wears the Eternity and Purity shoe and Stephen wears the Freed Modern Flex.
