This is a very special time for Freed of London as we are celebrating our mammoth 90 year anniversary, and it has been an absolute pleasure to share this time with so many wonderful, iconic and talented dancers. So, how on earth does a world renowned company like Freed celebrate such a milestone – by designing and creating more shoes of course! Earlier this spring we were very excited to introduce our brand new collection of ballet flats – fashion shoes for everyone to wear, anywhere, at any time.
Freed of London caters to all kinds of dancers, we are most well-known amongst the dancing community for our legendary pointe shoes. Freed’s unique and elegant pointe shoes never falter on quality or distinctiveness. We wanted to transpose this into a collection of fashion flats so we could share Freed of London’s undeniable and familiar quality with everyone.
So why are they unique to Freed? And how were they inspired by our famous pointe shoes? Well, we have taken certain design elements – such as the signature vamp stitch and original sole brand – and paired that with our outstanding manufacturing, meaning classic Freed of London shoes can now come with you wherever you go!
But perhaps you’re not a dancer and you crave that Freed feeling of grace and wonder – well we are thrilled to tell you that that’s no longer a problem. These are fashion shoes which are made for every day wear, meaning there is no limit as to who can enjoy them.
Freed of London has had the honour of teaming up with renowned ballet dancer Hayley Maloney (formerly known as Hayley Forskitt) as she became the face of our ballet flats. Now, if a former first artist of the Royal Ballet approves of this new collection, then so do we.
These magnificent shoes come in our classic Ballet Pink, Ballet Bronze and Ballet Brown coloured satins as well as other various materials, patterns and designs, so there really is something for everyone. Head over to Freed of London online or our Covent Garden store to browse through our brand new collection of ballet flats, we are sure you will find the perfect pair for you!
