Freed of London is a timeless company (we even celebrated our 90th anniversary this year!) we are always trying to grow and adapt along with the ballet world. The Freed of London ethos has always been to develop shoes to meet the needs of each generation of dancer, which resulted in our company having the absolute pleasure of releasing our new colours in collaboration with Ballet Black Ballet Company last year.
Creating Freed of London’s iconic hand-made Ballet Pink pointe shoes in Ballet Brown and Ballet Bronze to diversify the skin colour range for ballerinas has had an outstanding effect on not only us as a company, but on the world of ballet. As we continuously make an effort to include all dancers, we decided to expand this concept to our ‘Aspire’ ballet shoe collection.
Freed of London are proud to announce that the ‘Aspire’ ballet shoe is now being created in both Ballet Bronze and Ballet Brown. The Royal Academy of Dance approved ballet shoes feature a pleated toe, suede sole and pre-stitched elastic with availability in both satin and leather. All of these aspects make the ‘Aspire’ range perfect for any dancer of any level – but they are especially great for beginners in the early stages of their dancing journey.
I believe this is a historic moment in British ballet history and another step forward for culturally diverse dancers across the globe who wear the iconic Freed brand of shoe

As we are obsessed with the finer details here at Freed of London, we have even upgraded the colour of the soles so that they now match the colour of the upper – meaning that Ballet Pink, Ballet Bronze and Ballet Brown ‘Aspires’ have now all got an extra special touch. And finally, as we wanted to expand across our ballet collection as a whole, we have added Bronze and Brown tights and socks to our garment selection.
Every single customer is of utmost importance to us, which is why we will always try our very best to make sure there really is something for everyone here at Freed of London.
